Dr Chloe's Mission

Dr Chloe's mission is to democratise therapy, and to share therapeutic tools, and strategies informed by her decades of clinical practice and personal experience of living with loss, to help those coping with grief embrace life again and recover their Wellbeing.

Mind, body, heart and spirit are inter-connected and 'trauma' is what happens inside of us, not what happens outside of us.

People navigating difficult loss and depleting mental health symptoms want to live happy and fulfilling lives and they can, when they tune into their own capacity for self-compassion, insight, understanding and self care.

Recovery takes time. There are no quick fixes. But it is possible, to recover and there is help at hand.

Dr Chloe's Vision

Dr Chloe's vision is to normalise the life long challenges of embracing life in the face of loss and to raise as much awareness as she can, through her clinical work, her talks, her book, her lectures and her academic research to share therapeutic tools, and strategies to help anyone coping with depleted mental health from loss, trauma and grief. Grief is our response to all sorts of losses, not just the loss by bereavement and Dr Chloe is passionate about humanizing loss, creating shared perspectives and understandings, so that those who feel alone are heard, understood and supported and the impact of loss on Mental Health is not patholgised. Dr Chloe's vision is one of hope. It is possible to be happy again, even in the shadows and she wants to bring light to anyone who feels lost in the dark.

So much of poor Mental Health happens because people get overwhelmed by a dis-regulated nervous system, constantly in "survival mode" and caught up in both physiological and psychological stress. The body holds so much trauma and tension when it is stuck in survival mode and recovery is all about embracing psychological growth from within.

We can't change what sits outside of us. But we can choose how we respond and what attitude we hold towards our own wellbeing, our own life and our mental health. .

Learning to navigate grief, loss and the trauma of depleted mental health is an ongoing process, wihtout quick fixes. There is no one approach fits all. But good therapy gives you the opportunity to you be heard, to validated your human experience, to experience yourself as acknowledged and empathised with, fully supported to process all of your emotions (good and bad) in a safe space. Good therapy allows for destructive unconscious beliefs to be revealed and for choices to be explored without judgements and control.
